Oval Headed Hammers are either 8" or 9" inches long.
The balance is to the back of the hammer to make the head feel lighter, this makes rolls & bounces easier, and less fatigue on your wrists. The weight on most of my hammers is 6.5 grams per hammer. These are double sided hammers with leather on one side for a mellow sound. Each pair comes in a velvet pouch to protect the head. Crest gets your name & initials engraved on them. the Maple leaf, Spear, & Tree get name only.
All the above styles are $24.00 per pair. We do custom hammers from your drawings. Most custom work is $5.00 extra.
Wood Choices:
1.) Maple almost white color, lightest weight of hammers, engraves well.
2.) Oak Honey color with grain, heavier weight brighter sound
3.) Cherry Redder color heavier weight brighter sound
4.) Walnut Dark Brown color, medium weight good sound
5.) Beech Honey color very little grain, heavier weight, brighter sound.
6.) Paduk Dark Red, nice wood, heavier, $5.00 extra.
